Pentecostal Power Ministries Feed The Hungry Program November 22

Pentecostal Power Ministries along with The Bullard family are doing the Feed The Hungry program again this year for families in need and for the homeless.  The event will take place on November 22 at Dowdy Park in Summerville beginning at noon giving out 500 Thanksgiving plates.

Thanksgiving Plates include Turkey, dressing, potatoes, Green Beans, cranberry sauce, a dessert, and a bottle of water.  They will be there until all plates are gone.

The City of Menlo is reminding residents that the city will be hosting a Halloween Candy Walk coming up on Halloween night, this Friday, October 31, 2025.  The walk, sponsored by the City of Menlo and supported by Menlo area residents and businesses, will take place at Lawrence Park from 5 to 7 PM.  Lawrence Park is located behind Menlo Presbyterian Church, at 71 Edison Street.  Anyone with any questions about the Halloween Walk in Menlo may contact Menlo City Hall at 706-862-2440.

Halloween Hay Rides – Saturday Only – At Sloppy Floyd State Park

Due to the forecast of rain on Sunday, the Friends of Sloppy Floyd State Park have announced that the Halloween Hayrides scheduled for this weekend will only take place on Saturday.
Attendees can look forward to a unique, park-themed Halloween Hayride that winds through the scenic, wooded trails of Sloppy Floyd State Park. It’s an ideal outing for all ages, combining the beauty of nature with festive seasonal entertainment.

Months of dedication and hard work by Chattooga County’s young agriculturalists are set to culminate next week as FFA and 4-H students host their annual Pig Project Show and Auction.
