Summerville Main Street Spring Market Returns April 18 at Dowdy Park

The Summerville Main Street Spring Market is returning in 2026, offering a full day of shopping, food, and entertainment to welcome the spring season. The market will take place Saturday, April 18, from 10 AM until 3 PM at Dowdy Park.

Shoppers can browse a wide variety of vendors featuring arts and crafts, jewelry, baked goods, body and hair care products, wooden items, food, live plants, specialty pet items, and more. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy special musical entertainment throughout the day.

Vendors interested in participating can request vendor information and registration details by emailing slocklear@summervillega.org. Organizers remind vendors that all payments are made only to the City of Summerville Main Street. Vendors will never be asked to pay anyone else, and payments through Venmo, Cash App, or other similar services are not accepted.

Adult Mystery Night Coming to Chattooga Library January 29

Adults in Chattooga County can put their detective skills to the test later this month during “Adult Mystery Night” at the Chattooga Library in Summerville. The event is set for Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 6 PM until 8 PM at 360 Farrar Drive.

The program is hosted by the Sara Hightower Regional Library System and is open to anyone on or off Facebook, but it is designed for adults ages 18 and up. Organizers say participants will work together to solve a mystery, encouraging friends to come as a group and team up to crack the case.

Library officials say refreshments will be served during the two-hour event. Anyone who enjoys mystery stories, puzzles, or interactive games is invited to attend and take part in the evening’s activities.

Chattooga County Red Cross Club Blood Drive Set for Feb. 9 at Chamber & Civic Center — $20 e-Gift Card for Donors

The Chattooga County Community Red Cross Club is inviting residents across Chattooga County and Northwest Georgia to help save lives at an upcoming community blood drive on Monday, February 9, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The drive will be held at the Chattooga County Chamber & Civic Center.

Organizers say every donation can make a difference for patients in need of emergency care, surgeries, cancer treatments, and chronic illness support. Winter months can also bring increased strain on blood supplies due to illness and weather-related disruptions, making local donor turnout especially important.

As an added incentive, all presenting donors will receive a $20 e-gift card as a thank-you for taking the time to donate.

Appointments are encouraged. Donors can schedule a time, get more information, and complete RapidPass paperwork online by visiting RedCrossBlood.org and entering the sponsor code RedCrossClub. The American Red Cross also notes donors can use the Blood Donor App for scheduling and updates.

Card collectors and gaming fans are invited to gather for Trion Card Night on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at the Trion Recreation Department.
