As of 2:35 P M AT&T has confirmed that two 911 trunk lines are now operational. An escalation ticket has been created with Windstream to restore the remaining two trunk lines.
At this time, there is no estimated timeframe for restoration of the additional trunk lines or our administrative lines. Please continue to use the provided cell phone number for non-emergency calls or if you are unable to reach 911.

Lyerly Civic Club To Host Community Yard Sale April 11

The Lyerly Civic Club is inviting the community out for a day of bargains, food, and fellowship at its upcoming Community Yard Sale.

The event will take place on Saturday, April 11, from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Angus McLeod Park in Lyerly.

Shoppers can browse a variety of items while also enjoying homemade biscuits during the event.

Organizers say all proceeds will benefit the Lyerly Civic Club Scholarship Fund and Flower Fund, supporting local students and community beautification efforts.

Leadership Chattooga Student Edition Graduation Luncheon Set For April 1

The Chattooga County Chamber of Commerce will hold its Leadership Chattooga Student Edition Graduation Luncheon on Wednesday, April 1.

For April, the Chamber’s regular luncheon meeting is being moved to Wednesday to celebrate the student graduation event. The public is invited to attend the catered lunch, but seating is limited and reservations are required.

The luncheon will be held from 12 noon until 1 p.m. at the Hurley Community Development Center, located at 10050 Commerce Street in Summerville.

Vietnam Veterans Lunch Happening Today In Summerville

The annual Vietnam Veterans Lunch is taking place today in Summerville, honoring those who served during the Vietnam era.

The event will be held at 12 noon at the Chattooga County Memorial Home on Memorial Drive. All veterans who served during the Vietnam era—from 1955 through 1975—are invited to attend, along with their families.

Organizers say the luncheon will include a special program recognizing the service and sacrifice of Vietnam-era veterans. Widows and widowers of veterans will also be honored, with certificates presented in memory of their loved ones.

The event provides an opportunity for fellowship, food, and time spent with fellow veterans and members of the community, as the nation prepares to observe National Vietnam War Veterans Day this weekend.

The annual luncheon is hosted by VFW Post 6688, its Auxiliary, and local volunteers.
